@cyberghost Telegram is decentralised long ago. If a set of groups and people misuse signal and matrix and the court orders for data which either signal r matrix fails to deliver and if the court gets angry on that they may ban it. So I prefer using #telegram still for its features and privacy. #Telegram is used all over the world(even in banned countries) to avoid surveillance.

@ksv236 @cyberghost Telegram is easy to ban, just block those IPs:https://core.telegram.org/getProxyConfigWhile it's harder to ban Matrix as this is technology, not single service.I can set up local server on Raspberry Pi and bridge it with LoRa radio.

@didek @cyberghost But I couldn't get such wonderful features in other apps. Also people just use VPN and proxy servers to use telegram even after its ban.

@ksv236 VPNs, tunneling to shrinking free Internet, are another way to make it centralized.I absolutely love Telegram features too, this is the best done mobile app I've seen ever.But we need to realize that Service As a Software Substitutes are not good for the health of the network.

@didek it depends on the proxies and VPN. So it doesn't make it centralised since ur messages are scattered over their decentralised servers. And wdym by not good for the network. Telegram clearly helps millions to escape surveillance and work on feature rich experience for the users. It's the true freedom app for many. It's the saviour app throughout the world. I'm not arguing here. But just love to know what u are trying to say here without misunderstanding.
