Effective immediately I will be removing myself as the Admin of #Hachyderm. @nivenly I understand a lot of folks are likely confused, and are wondering why?I made the decision a few hours ago.The main reason for this is to hand the server off to the collective to manage instead of me. There is an entire moderation team, and an infrastructure team in charge now and have been in place for months.I have never represented the thoughts and opinions of the users, however the "Admin" title seems to carry a connotation with it. I want to remove that link.

@nivenly The fediverse has an interesting way of managing conflict. While I certainly understand the behavior of the fediverse, I also am choosing to remove myself to protect my mental health.I think a little more communication across instances would go a long way. @nivenly I strongly encourage anyone on the Fediverse to examine any paraphrasing they come across that feels dismissive. Read and listen to all my words and try not to rely on hearsay or paraphrasing.Chances are, if you spend a few minutes looking into things for yourself, you will be pleasantly surprised.Most of the paraphrasing about me, my intentions, my actions, and my character aren't based on facts and are often portrayed in the worst possible light.I want to cause no harm.
