       Ant Battle! I believe these are Pavement ants (Tetramorium immigrans) which seem to be in a battle. The column of fighting was about 5 feet long from one sidewalk crack to the grass to the next sidewalk crack. I came back with my camera and most were dispersed but I was able to capture a few images.#insects #macro #photography #nature alt on first image

       Aftermath...  It is still alive, just struggling to right itself. It did eventually  manage flip and rejoin the fray.
