       I’m watching Interstellar. Why? I’ve missed the beginning and it’s not one of my favourite films, either. Anyways. Hope one lesson’s been learned. Leaving Matt Damon alone on a planet is more than ok.

       @rolle I like some of it but I’m not a fan of McConaughey and the plot gets a bit too silly for me. Still, should watch it properly for a re-review and see if I’ve changed my mind. It’s been quite a while.

       @Tuumaru In a scifi movie a plot can never be too silly. I love the pseudo science behind it, Nolan's direction and McConaughey.

       @rolle I partly like it and it’s visually pleasing, but I guess it’s a matter of balance and/or inner logic to me. There’s kind of ok hard science I enjoy and interesting concepts, but then it gets too silly and mushy. Think I prefer The Martian (also nice science + utterly ridiculous stuff + a quite annoying star) because its tone is tongue-in-cheek anyway, while Interstellar is more serious which makes the silliness frustrating and therefore annoying to me.

       @Tuumaru I found The Martian a really boring film. Interstellar has Nolan and Zimmer and the space scenes are just larger than life.

       @rolle I like the problem-solving a lot. And some sense of time lapsing, so that the prolonged isolation isn’t over too quickly. The Martian landscapes are awesome, too.
