       There are a few places that rudely steal generic names. Working in the City. Living in the Bay area. Based in the Valley. Or the West Coast*.Probably the most egocentric is the Land of the Rising Sun (unlike those other lands where it doesn't).* I am based on the West Coast, but not that one, which confuses people I work with

       @derwinmcgeary I live near Philadelphia and its downtown is called Center City, which I'm surprised more cities don't use

       @derwinmcgeary @Louisa It was  only when I visited Philadelphia that some Springsteen songs from my childhood actually started to make sense, it's all *right there*.
