       @i there's periodic talk about a network split. My opinion is that it shouldn't be a political split but the rest of us should try hard to standardize and interop and ignore servers that stop working with us. We are the real fediverse.

       @Moon @i I think there'll have to be a network split at some point, either by a technical level (apub or whatever) or by an 'online' versus 'irl' split. those of us who like being online anonymous (mostly) users, and the people who want it to be facebook or linkedin

       @i @Moon That might make another split. I think a lot of users appreciate having someone to SWEEP IT UP, the question is just how much. As well as the lack of desire to set things up themselves, otherwise they'd likely have a single user instance(i could have forgotten something else revolver does thats appealing but i havent kept up since it was announced lol)
