@Tilopa Fuck twitter. We can have as many accounts as we want. I was off it for about 3 months but after the russians beheaded that Ukrainian POW, I was back on twitter in 10 minutes.

@Tilopa It only take a couple minutes. It's way easier than dealing with a twitter appeal. Plus, you can say whatever the hell you want, because if they suspend you, you can just create another account right away if you want to. I just want people to know that what twitter says doesn't mean shit. I literally told them to fuck off in my appeal response. They have no real control. Only perceived control.

@Tilopa Yeah do it. It's surprisingly easy. Just follow the steps exactly. It's pretty fun when you have no investment whatsoever. And I feel like that lack of accountability helps degrade the platform further. I had nothing against twitter until they actively reinstated the big russian propaganda accounts. They're turning into the Fox news of social media.

@john @frankwestphal That's the problem, as fun as Twitter CAN be sometimes, I'm already hopelessly addicted to mastodon, and so can ill afford to be torn apart between the two sites, especially since, with every day that passes, Twitter gets lamer and lamer.

@Tilopa @frankwestphal - I agree with this, and yet look at others like FB, Myspace, Hi5, i think with mastodon and other sites we use, and somehow bring others away from high end social network, am sure twitter and FB/Myspace will soon learn to listen to there fans.. but that's just a wish tho..

@Tilopa @john If they go unchecked people believe it, and that results in elected officials and the clusterf we have now. The last 10 years have proven that unequivocally. All our partisan issues didn't just happen. Russia did that. They flew under the radar and no one even realized what they were doing. I've seen them doing it to Finland, US, France, an Germany, so far. We saw social media as a form of communication, they saw it as a weapon.

@Tilopa @john They target geographical regions, and then specific demographics within each region. They have teams dedicated to each region and demographic within. They pretend to be peers, and appeal to us on an emotional level. Once they've gained credibility, within their target demographic, they spew russian propaganda. I don't think many people realize how large and detailed the russian propaganda machine is. Probably the biggest that's ever existed on Earth.
