       The thing I still don’t understand is why we are fighting for words like woman but won’t fight for words like feminism. I can see that woman is more entwined with legal and safety points, but we have those things because of feminism. I see so many women saying they no longer identify with feminism, and they always cite 3rd wave “feminism” as the reason. But do we no longer say we support civil rights because of BLM or gay rights because of trans ideology? Has the definition of feminism really changed because it’s been co-opted like so many other things today? Are we not anti-fascist because of groups like ANTIFA? Idk, I get where women are coming from with it but also I don’t. People have always hated feminism, people have always tried to call it something else to gain favor (“humanist” etc.). If we’re defending truth, emphasizing the importance of women’s rights and that words have meaning, why is feminism being left behind?

       @medbsraven Agree. I know KJK does a lot of good work, but she says she’s not a feminist, either. Just because the wrong people have hijacked the word doesn’t mean we abandon it. Not being able to call ourselves feminists means we lose the ability to easily identify one another and congregate. The faux feminists are EASY to pick out, so I’m not sure why we let them dictate the definition of feminism?Libfems are not feminists. I don’t care how they identify. I don’t care if feminism has been butchered, I’m not going to avoid the word. It’s like when I was younger and didn’t want to put a rainbow on my car (it was a thing back then, I don’t see it as much anymore), so instead I put a HRC sticker on my car. I did it to hide while still being halfway “out”. ie only those who knew, actually knew. This was way before the HRC was captured. I don’t want to hide anymore. I’m not going to do the same and say “I support women’s rights but I’m not a feminist!”

       @ChasingWaterfalls @medbsraven Props for KJK for doing what she does while being honest that she's not a feminist and not contributing to the lowering of an already insanely low bar. The mind of a feminist should be holistic, it aims to analyze how patriarchy affects every area of life, how it shapes all of your likes, dislikes, goals and desires, reject male ideas of how the world works and what women are, to stop trying to be what men think women are, to create a truly female consciousness and vision of the world.
