@bound2 @errante I 100% agree. Completely. We were subjected to rape by an adult for many years prior to reaching puberty. We still have flashbacks. He is still a free man because I cannot prove it occurred and the trauma caused amnesia that I did not recover from till I was years into adulthood.We will admit, our opinions have shifted on things over time as we have met pedophiles who advocate quite strongly against abuse. The fact is, there are many pedophiles who are survivors of CSA themselves. Abuse of that nature… It can affect the way the mind works due to the trauma. We understand that from personal experience being plural, and we respect people who are merely acknowledging their attractions and working to gain acceptance—not so that they can abuse others, but so that they can not be hated by society for aspects of themselves that they cannot control.And thanks for the apology. @arcana @errante yeah. when i was 7, i'm not gonna go into detail, but i got taken advantage of by a family member and it fucked up my families relationship, caused my parents to get divorced, leaving me with my dad who had us move halfway across the country. now i barely see my mom and my real siblings, so i get really defensive about the subject. it's obviously not fair for me to attack you because of my own experiences.

@arcana @errante i've never really thought about therapy. i doubt my parents would be willing to pay for it since they're already cheap asf and sometimes they treat me like i'm not even their kid (my mom has an excuse but my dad can't do that) and being a girl in a house with only boy siblings means i don't have anyone to complain to, so therapy wouldn't be a terrible idea, but i didn't even understand what was happening. i never really figured out the whole story until just a few years ago so it's not like i get PTSD or anything, i just get really bitchy about it.
