       @rorystarr The prophet of #Islam, Muhammad prohibited the persecution of #cats. One of Prophet Muhammad's companions was known as Abu Hurairah (Father of the Kitten) for his attachment to cats. Cats have been revered for centuries in #Muslim #culture. Prophet Muhammad taught #Muslims to have mercy on all of Allah's creations and, because of their cleanliness, they are welcome on #prayer carpets.Thanks, for your interest 🙏🏼

       @Woodchaz @rorystarr Yea, Sufis are big on dogs (‘if you want to learn how to love, love a dog’) but for traditional Muslims, they are regarded as unclean, during prayer.
