       @Norrox There's a few other gamedev servers so you could always move. Only problem is you can't transfer your post history when you change instances, but you CAN auto-transfer your followers and manually import your follows elsewhere.

       @ninjadodo @Norrox That's only possible as long as this server is online, though! Given that @aras applied for including this instance in the official server covenant, I'd assume there's at least one other person with emergency access & we would be warned in advance. But since this instance still isn't included there, it's hard to tell if this assumption is correct... 😐https://joinmastodon.org/covenant

       @njamster @Norrox @aras True, but generally in the event a server shuts down there is advance warning and enough time to sort all this stuff out.

       @ninjadodo @njamster @Norrox I've no idea why joinmastodon never replied to my (several) attempts at submitting this instance to their list. All the hosting is on masto.host, so folks running that would be a backup. If I would decide to stop running this, I'd both put a warning in advance, but also would try to find someone else to run it first. Of course, if I'd for example suddenly die, then it would be harder for me to give an advance warning :)
