       I still find it absolutely fucking wild how much of Canada's colonial history comes from a fucking clothing store.it's like, imagine if Nordstrom set up shop 2 full centuries before the American declaration of independence, and played such a big role in colonizing the place that they get left with multiple fucking chapters of American history textbooks detailing the history of Nordstrom.That's what Canada has with the Hudson's Bay Company.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hudson%27s_Bay_Company
