@tinker We don't want ActivityPub to go down the same road as XMPP :/(though as a tangent, I would love if Mastodon supported XMPP for DMs! It would be way better than the current DM system imo)

@TechConnectify if it's mostly going to be about how the black on a projector screen is still white, just without any light shining on it, and so it can appear as dark as adjacent white walls, probably doesn't need an entire video, but you do you

@TechConnectify although I think I recall there are some projector screens which catch light differently in order to (as much as possible) prevent themselves from reflecting the room's ambient lighting, but I assume if such a thing does exist it could do some wonky things to the viewing angle

Phones nowadays have separate permissions for camera access, microphone access, location, filesystem access, etc.,and that's great and all,but when are they going to stop wimping out of making internet access a permissions setting?If you want privacy, internet access is the most obvious thing to control in a per-app basis. Every device is totally capable of doing it, they just choose not to.For non-rooted Android, you can use RethinkDNS or NetGuard.For Windows, SimpleWall.
