       Some days I do score a lucky find!My condo building has an annual “spring cleaning” event where for two weeks you can put unwanted items in the corner of the parkade and at the end of the two weeks, the strata brings in a company to haul it all away for recycling.While I was disposing of my old toaster oven, I spotted a monitor wrapped in newspaper with a yellow post-it on the front that had “Works!” scrawled in sharpie on it.I couldn’t resist picking it up and bringing it back to my unit - it’s a Samsung SyncMaster SA350 with VGA and HDMI inputs supporting up to 1080p resolution. And it is now going to start a new life as my test bench monitor, so that I don’t have to sacrifice one of my main displays if I want to test out some new hardware 😁Thank you, mystery donor!

       Now, what makes this monitor particularly special? Well, according to https://15khz.net/ - it can take 15 KHz input, meaning that with the right adapter I should be able to plug it right into my Apple IIgs 😁So we'll definitely be testing that later this month! Watch this space!
