@Elizafox I still don't undersatand how this so called anarchism would function. In history, every time goverments ceased to exist for short amount of time, there was chaos and violence.And either way, no goverment means some people will not do public service but use it, and means people with no empathy but with ability harm others will be not restrained at all, people with ability to protect from that will appear, and then they will become a new goverment because this is how they formed originally, millitary promising safety from other millitary at the cost of things given to them.I get that self regulation is possible, but it's only effective with small communities, and already not effective when there is a lot of small communities interacting (fediblock being worse than centralised authority fpr moderation, whole network dividing into sides hostile to others for political/ideological reasons etc.)

@Elizafox agreed. I'm thinking a lot about that, especially since I observe how the somewhat anarchical Fediverse is handling conflict.Admins defederate based on single misbehaving actors, people of other instances having different approaches to content moderation as them, #fediblock often is a toxic "there are people I strongly disagree with and so should you, or else you're a Nazi".I wish we'd be more open to dissent and letting people live their lives more often.

@Elizafox we can still come together to fight bad actors without burning bridges between cities/instances just because the values of the Other don't overlap a 100%.
