In order to serve a page of simple text and images, yourlogicalfallacyis.com exposes site visitors to JavaScript from at least 6 third-party domains, most of them pointing to servers owned by corporations known to engage in mass surveillance #FacePalm #DataFarming

@strypey them and every "well-respected news" website. There are three theories and one dud: (1) Try to opt-out of using web-browsers in the nasty way they were designed (2) Make something new with a few well-trodden features and without a few nasties (gemini)(3) Keep using gopher because it beats the hell out of ftp, and got accidentally frozen in time with design constraints that mitigate web's abuses.Dud: "Maybe it'll be fine"Fat robots will replace web browsers: Out of the frying pan

@lohang > I spend about 10% of my browsing time clicking on those buttons to temp. TRUST Same ;) To reduce the time wasted, I've started to toggle more of them to trusted. Mainly primary domains for sites I use a lot, or utilities like jsdlvr and unpkg that seem to be used for some practical purpose, not spying.
