       Welp, we gotta start pulling #CO2  out of the air In recent years, over 70 countries have committed to net-zero carbon emissions, aiming to become carbon neutral by mid-century. The 2015 Paris Agreement aimed to keep global warming below 2 degrees Celsius and ideally limit it to 1.5 degrees above pre-industrial levels.        @stux I hope they start making bricks out of the #CO2 taken from the air. There are a few small companies doing it already, but it makes a lot of sense. Storing the absorbed CO2 in something useful as opposed for the sake of it.

       @stux The problem with #Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is that we simply have no solution that can scale up to make any meaningful contribution to global #CO2 levels. Even the biggest systems we have in place today can’t even capture 5% of emissions globally and emissions are rising faster then we can ramp up CCS solutions. So I see them as a “nice to have” but nothing we can rely on to slow down #climatechange #sustainability #carboncapture

       @stux The expense of filtering CO2 out of the air vastly exceeds any economic benefit from putting it in there to begin with.We really have to #KeepItInTheGround if we want to stop adding more burden on future generations who will have to clean up this mess.

       @stux May be time to build some sort of atmospheric cleansers that pull CO2 out of the air like in The Peripheral (TV series/book).This should do the trick.
