BlueSky expects a world with a marketplace of @algorithms from which users can select. I’d love to see the fediverse get there too.

@davidslifka @algorithms Really? You would like to see s world where someone else chooses for you, what you will and won't see?It's okay though, because they gave you several choices. I think not.Fediverse platforms allow the user to create their own algorithms - we can have it our way. We decide for ourselves what we will and won't see.Clients like #Fedilab take this to the next level as do platforms like #Calckey, #Friendica, and #Quanta. I'll design my own algos thank you.⛵.

My mind stopped (comprehensively) processing after that lolz.Have you taken some time to checkout how #Misskey and #Calckey have incorporated their innovative notion of "Antennas"? @tallship @davidslifka @algorithms Hope I'm not being too demanding ... would you care to summarise how the "Antennas" thing works?I looked into it briefly once, but felt like I wouldn't "get it" unless I actually tried using it, which I clearly haven't put the effort into yet.If it isn't too much to ask ... a nice quick practical rundown would be awesome (and maybe good advertising?).

@davidslifka @tallship @algorithms @atomicpoet thanks!So, in my words, an antenna is multiple word/hashtag filters with full Boolean logic, ie, AND, OR and NOT (through the exclude section) …?Mastodon advanced webview basically has this for pinned columns and hashtags (not any words though). Also, this filtered feed isn’t discrete like a list or anything like that.

@davidslifka @tallship @algorithms @atomicpoet I’m also guessing that the “source” section lets you select other feeds or people, which is quite nice too … you could split out someone’s posts into separate feeds that match what you’re interested in.
