@stux I think it’s interesting that he has successfully demonstrated how to move from an advertising-based model where the user is the product, to a model where user is part of a catastrophic system failure. We can learn a lot from this.

@stux Haha, he knows nothing! He’s like an unimpressive ten year old with infinite money, surrounded by people telling him he is the smartest man alive.The whole thing is amazing (in a bad way) but also sad, because people did build communities there, and use it for good. It will take time to rebuild those things elsewhere. And money, as you know yourself. Imagine what even one of the 24 billion he lost could have built!

@stux While I feel genuine empathy for the people who feel that there are no other suitable social media platforms for them & who cannot be persuaded to try the fediverse, I feel that Twitter will have to truly die for some people to leave it 😞I just hope that the remaining Twitter employees can survive the inevitable fall 😔

I would give away 99.999% to charities and keep the rest to start companies that are only there to help people without a profit margin 💪 Imagine all the meals for hungry kids or cures etc Woahh!

@stux The bot thing really gave me a giggle. Seems I recall much of the early firings, api disturbance, etc was from Musk loathing the bot accounts.Here, he’s essentially admitting defeat against them.

@stux Even the people who pay are going to continue to run into pretty significant problems with the bird. Paying for a check won't fix what is breaking down. My account has mysteriously unfollowed people, had blocks and mutes removed. The latest is how replies now look underneath the main tweet...can't tell if someone is replying to the op or another reply. Oh and there are two different font types showing up in the app - randomly switching between the two in each tweet. It is a mess.

@stux I truly don't understand why people are still putting up with reduced features, less stability & more toxicity back at the #birdsite after all this time.
