How many years does it take before light themes become the "cool retro style"?

A funny effect of Windows is that many people think that a dark theme is the only proper color scheme for code editors and terminal emulators... Years ago I posted some code and someone told me, "who even uses Vim on a white background..." Well, nearly all xterm users since the 1980s... :woozy_baa:

@niconiconi I think a lot of folks would argue it's also a usability/eye strain issue. That said, I am pretty sure a light mode theme, if consistent, and if the monitor doesn't have brightness cranked to retail floor showoff levels, wouldn't be that different. But some apps light, some dark is a painful mess.
