I installed the modus-themes package from melpa and got this error for each theme:"Compiling file /home/lea/.emacs.d/elpa/modus-themes-20230325.1537/modus-vivendi-tinted-theme.el at Sun Mar 26 18:33:04 2023modus-vivendi-tinted-theme.el:37:1: Error: Wrong type argument: listp, tIt says the package was installed; the themes show up on the list of installed themes, but when I try to load it I get the same error and it doesn't load.Anyone know what this error means/how to fix?#emacs 1/2

@leadore I would suggest using M-x toggle-debug-on-error to get a stacktrace. This should help you find where the error comes from.

More info: I'm using emacs 28.2There were 2 modus-themes packages in list-packages, one in melpa and one in gnu. edit: I tried both versions, same error on both. This is the line the error was on:(eval-and-compile (unless (and (fboundp 'require-theme) load-file-name (equal (file-name-directory load-file-name) (expand-file-name "themes/" data-directory)) (require-theme 'modus-themes t)) (require 'modus-themes))2/3

The package appears in my ~/.emacs.d/elpa/ directory. Is it looking for a directory called themes? I actually have a ~/.emacs.d/themes/ directory as well, but the install didn't touch that.Another confusing thing. If I go to the git repo for this ( from link in package description which is also the same as on his website), it shows the latest version is 4.1.0, nothing later than that, but list-packages shows it is version 4.1.1. Where is this even coming from then? Very confusing. 3/3

@galdor A bug report would be a good idea too. Though I've not had this issue with the Modus themes on GNU #Emacs 28.2 on Debian.
