@kairyssdal Some people can use it that way. Like if you send at least a few sentences long text message that obviously needs a longer response and they reply with "👍". It's especially weird when they do it in person.I just use it if I can't even conjure an "ok" but want to acknowledge that I saw a message that doesn't necessarily require any action on my end.

@kairyssdal My teenager isn't too impressed with 👍 But really liked the turtle emoji with a thumbs up for a head when I sent it. (She was being really slow one day for after school pickup so sent it in reply to "finally on my way".)Ain't no "passive" in my aggressive. 😁
