Looks like Mastodon is going to break the 10 million user accounts at some point today. @Ryuken_san I honestly don't know what's caused this big influx to be honest. I don't use Twitter at all any longer and haven't for 2+ months. I don't know if it's the fact about Elon supposedly going to open source the Twitter code or something totally different.

@Ryuken_san I really hope that's not the case but it's certainly very possible. I haven't had anyone sign up on my instance outside of the 5 users I currently have. I think that's likely because my instance isn't really listed anywhere as of yet, so maybe that's helping prevent that.

@CliffWade Oh I see. I'm sure you'll get much more people once your instance gains popularity.How can you get your instance listed on the official Mastodon website? Isn't there some kind of covenant?Anyway the "good" side for now is that your instance isn't overloaded. On my instance, I'm one of the last 3 or 5 registered people and I've been here for a week.
