@bleakfutureAttempting to retain power using force (dominance) is why some cultures are still, generally, controlled by certain types of "forceful" men. Why some families are controlled by "forceful" men. Why cult's are always controlled by "forceful" men.Brute rather than brains is comparably primitive. And causes bad outcomes such as, Russia's aggression against the citizens of Ukraine. I have a vision, one day, those forceful men will be extinct. @w7voa @zleap

@empiricism @bleakfuture @w7voa There was a time when the schoolyard bully could be put in their place, either by other children standing up to them or by adults making it clear their behavior won't be tolerated, people were scared of the headteacher, and scared of their parents finding out.Now children are told they have rights, being told off breaches their rights so some do as they want, and threaten those who try and restore order. So long as that situation is maintained those bullies proabbly go on to abusive relationships, family, friends, work places or leadership. In the case of Russia, Putin should have been told NO ! back in to 2014, he wasn't so just pushed the boundary further till we have the situation we are in now.

@zleap @bleakfuture @w7voa I suppose the ultimate decision point is money. Corporations are deciding they need to fall in line with the rising authority to protect future profits; obviously refusing to cooperate in advance might cost them something in the New US. That they thuis help guarantee the success of the dictatorship and destroy their own autonomy (and democracy, btw) is not an item that shows up on quarterly reports.

@zleapIt's correct that antisocial behaviours need to be mitigated from an early age - to prevent habituation. Children of course do need guidance regarding what are, and what are not, socially acceptable behaviours (standards). However, if the adults have implicit & explicit antisocial behavioural psychological faults, children are more probable to learn bad behaviours.I study ecology & psychology, it's of concern that many children are adopting the same ecologically damaging perceptions as their peers. @bleakfuture @w7voa

@empiricism @bleakfuture @w7voa This is where you need strong social services, strong courts to step in and protect children. Anyone working with children and young people need to how to recognise abuse, and be confident to not only report this, but that a child WILL be helped. While all this is complex, bad parenting needs to be identified, and effective interventions put in place, so that children can get the best start in life, the USA is one of only 2 countries, as far as I am aware, that is not signatory to the UN Convention on the rights of the child.

@zleapGood welfare standards require good leadership. It maybe complex, however, it's not hard to figure out that political parties or politicians that dominated by corporations agendas, are not in the interest of the common good.@bleakfuture @w7voa

Because a corporations fundamental agenda is profit (e.g., for the share holders)@bleakfuture @w7voa
