@furgar bread and pasta are mixed up with all kinds of processed sugars and chemicals for added shelf life and presentability, not to mention soaking it in GLYSOPHATE.

Just look at the label for a can of spaghetti sauce, you will see sugar as an ingredient.A lot of the problems with added sugar stems from the whole "fat-free" phase when fat was demonized. Meanwhile, food producers added sugar in place of fat, making things worse as fat was never the problem.

@furgar. It’s most likely high fructose corn syrup. That stuff is in EVERYTHING, and fructose is different than dextrose or glucose.With the “low fat” or “fat free” stupidity they had to add something to the processed food to make it palatable, which was HFCS and salt. The health affects are now obvious.

@furgar Multilayer answer... Have this person been eating same food and amounts in USA as in Japan?-most likely no. Are there things like corn syrup and hormones in most USA foods?-yes and they contribute. However, on the carbs or no carbs, if you are eating carbs you must have willpower and count energy in&out. If you don't eat carbs (well sub 50grams/day) you just need to avoid them as they were not our evolutionary diet (no use eating raw rice)
