       Today my therapist finally realized she keeps saying, “How ya doing man?” Or, “See you in 7 days man!” I haven’t said anything yet because I figured she would figure it out, and also some people just use that word casually. I wasn’t quite worried enough yet to bring it up either, hoping she would self correct. That said, today I felt it more than any of the previous times she has said it, because I went out of my comfort zone to present even more femininely than I have previously. I wasn’t exactly hurt feeling as I walked away, but did feel a slight bit of invalidation I was not expecting. Today she texted me right after I left our session and apologized profusely for misgendering me, which I really appreciated. Feels like a win. #Trans

       @Hypermycotic The people at work who regularly use "man" when talking to me inevitably end up misgendering me. I find that behavior more than a little sus, and I'm glad your therapist caught themselves.
