       If the bourgeoisie prevent us from winning socialism democratically, by taking over all mainstream political parties, expelling socialists from socialist parties and gerrymandering elections - then the only choice we have is the overthrow of the entire capitalist system and revolution.

       @paul In the US there has been a movement for at least a century to reduce the influence of voters. The last time the House was expanded was 1913. Since then the population has tripled and in 1913 less than half the adult population was eligible to vote. Apparently, the greatest threat to a representative republic is representation.
