       Last month, the New York City Council had a hearing about businesses using facial recognition technology. But there was a problem: Madison Square Garden ignored an invitation to attend and no one in the room knew who else was using the tech. This was funny to me because NYC is the only city in the country with a law requiring businesses to post a sign if they scan faces. So I went out looking for those signs.
