@brosandprose What distresses me most about this was that three lovely families across the street from me, all in small flats, one with 2 kids, and one with 3, were all absolutely rigid about keeping to the rules here - which, in Spain, included no going outdoors for almost 6 weeks. And I know they went through hell.

@brosandprose I want to be really judgy but I also I vividly remember how I felt when I tested positive for Covid and my wife had to talk me out of trying to work the first day because I was afraid of losing income. I'm glad that I did the right thing but the temptation not to was incredibly strong, and I'm sure at least some of the people who did this were in the same boat. More robust time off/sick time policies would have made it a no brainer for me.

@brosandprose many people are selfish and horrible. Rinse repeat. And nothing highlighted it better than the Pandemic. Remember when the first response of some assholes was to stock pile toilet paper? Toilet paper.
