If this story is real this guy deserves to be put in a home, jfc. A massive farm consisting of over a thousand acres, along with barns, tractors, grazing animals. . . And while the whole probate thing happened, we found out she had somehow forged Grandpa’s signature, sold the entire thing, and then fucking died. The money’s all gone, not even her husband knows where it went, and he’s pretty sure she didn’t spend any of it.

My great-grandmother’s cookbooks with all of her homemade recipes? Gone.They spend a lot of money having lawyers trying to figure out what the fuck happened. Best we can tell? She put it in some kind of overseas bank account, and then died. Because this would have been millions of dollars she stole from her parents while they were dying.

People can be real cunts over inheritance. Sometimes it's not even money, just spiteful stuff.An ex of mine told me about how an uncle of her lived for years taking care of his parents, essentially having no career beyond some small scale farming just to make sure they were looked after.When they passed on the whole family agreed he should have the house since it was his home and he'd put so much work into caring for them. All except for one aunt (who was a lawyer). She jewed up the whole thing and eventually forced them to sell the house and split the proceeds evenly. I think the uncle ended up living with one of the other siblings.Also she insisted they be buried in a big fancy cemetary even though they explicitly said they wanted the local graveyard.
