People can be real cunts over inheritance. Sometimes it's not even money, just spiteful stuff.An ex of mine told me about how an uncle of her lived for years taking care of his parents, essentially having no career beyond some small scale farming just to make sure they were looked after.When they passed on the whole family agreed he should have the house since it was his home and he'd put so much work into caring for them. All except for one aunt (who was a lawyer). She jewed up the whole thing and eventually forced them to sell the house and split the proceeds evenly. I think the uncle ended up living with one of the other siblings.Also she insisted they be buried in a big fancy cemetary even though they explicitly said they wanted the local graveyard.

I reject the concept that "science" and "the paranormal" are in conflict somehow, it's a very marxist idea.The maxist concept of reality is that everything is logical and known and reality must conform to whatever the current accepted theories are. Anyone stepping outside of that region is a wrongthinker and crazy/dangerous.The actual scientific method is a process that acknowledges our theories about reality are just that, theories. They're limited in scope and subject to constant change and competition as new discoveries are made. They certainly have no right to declare themselves as objective reality.A great example of this is the global warming movement. That was an unproven theory back in the 1990s, but it's proponents declared it should be treated with the same weight as reality. Then when reality failed to conform to the theory they started fudging the figures and insisting even harder that everyone pretend it was real.By contrast, theologians are often much more willing to update their beliefs and doctrines to account for physical discoveries. This is because theology is and was a scientific field.
