       Scientists or engineers who claim that philosophy is outdated or irrelevant to their work may just be afraid to face its ethical consequences. The seeming rejection of fruitless sophism may in fact be an attempt to escape responsibility.        @go_shrumm @philosophy I thought part the idea of peer review is so others can see your research,  reproduce it and offer critical thinking so over time ideas can be built upon.  Surely any science or thinking should be open to new evidence, different perspectives and questions lead to research that can help enhance existing thinking and ideas.

       @zleap @philosophy Possibly true. However, what I try to talk about is something completely different to peer review and scientific progress. It is the calling into question of a science and a technology that is lost in details, blind to the consequences of scientific progress for a good life, and to the question of the good life. Climate scientists may know what I mean. #climateCrisis
