       Does anyone know how "Books" works in #ReadwiseReader? Can I connect my Kindle account somehow? It's not yet listed under Integrations.

       @marcusolsson I believe the only books you can upload at this time are epubs. You can connect your kindle account through Readwise on their website, but it will only bring in your highlights from books you've read due to DRM restrictions.

       @krishagel I connected Kindle on the Readwise website, and managed to sync them, but they don't show up in Reader. Seems like I need to manually sync Kindle highlights using a Chrome extension? I imagine it's a limitation with Kindle rather than Readwise tbh.Seems like I might as well stick with the Obsidian Kindle plugin then.

       @marcusolsson @krishagel So the way I think about it is that Reader is like the counterpart of an e-reader. It's where raw articles/books/etc are sent, and where you do the highlights. Kindle highlights don't go to Reader because they're already highlighted-- they go to Readwise (and then to Obsidian if you have the Readwise Official plugin) instead.

       @nicole @krishagel That does makes a lot of sense. I realize now I've mistaken Reader for a next generation of Readwise, where it's really a complementary service.I had hoped that I could replace the Obsidian Kindle plugin with Readwise, but seems like you don't really gain anything, since you still need to manually sync highlights using the Chrome extension.

       @marcusolsson @krishagel I haven't tried the Obsidian Kindle plugin so I'm not entirely sure what it does. But I don't manually sync Kindle highlights-- they automatically show up in my Obsidian vault via Readwise Official.

       @nicole @krishagel From Readwise to Obsidian, yes. But from what I understand, you need to manually sync from Kindle to Readwise, no?

       @nicole @krishagel Ah! Reading closer, seems like the Chrome extension syncs automatically as long as you keep your browser running.

       @marcusolsson @krishagel Yup! :) I haven't found it to be too intrusive.
