@lauren "unnecessarily excessive" synthesized voices. I suspect it's more of a trend than a production limitation. Reminds me of a great story about CRTs and low-res graphics I read recently. Graphics were designed in a way that took advantage of the light bleed between pixels on CRTs. You don't get this in LCDs and this makes low res reproductions of old sprites look way more blocky than they really were. But we seem to love the exaggerated blockiness.

@lauren My only real problem with them is when they mispronounce things or use bad grammar. Ugh.
