We have upgraded the #DEFCON P2P servers (qBittorrent) to support BitTorrent v2, and are now serving hybrind v1v2 files as well as older v1 torrents on https://media.defcon.org/One observation is libtorrent-rasterbar-2.0.8 is not fully baked yet with memory leaks that prevent us from seeding files over about 1tb. As a test @thedarktangent will double the memory in a server and see if the v1v2 file gets farther before crashing.

@jeff Yep super excited for it. Once the NAS companies switch to it (Synology, etc.) that will be a sign we can start building v2 torrents only.I’m planning to go v2 only starting 2024 to allow enough time for those who care about torrenting to have upgraded.
