       It's hard to do but sticking to your beliefs honestly makes you feel better mentally, and makes you a more genuine reliable person who has good content of character. People may disagree with your standpoints or views, but they will not doubt that you are true to yourself and you don't make excuses.

       For example, I constantly complained about Windows when I used to use it as my primary OS, but I was too afraid to switch to another operating system because I was afraid of change. Constantly made excuses like >muh gayming, but when I really evaluated the situation to discern what was truly best for me, and actually took action, things were much easier than I had initially thought it would be. Switching from Windows was a large step but in the end I feel much happier now that I know that an alternative suited my needs just as well.

       Helps too that I don't really play any of the latest triple A games, but still, you gotta make that effort.
