       @arstechnica Of course, Signal doesn't actually have any presence in the UK to begin with. They're based in California, USA, and have no branch offices elsewhere. UK can try to sanction them all they want, and Signal will just say "no standing, Freedom of speech, 1st Amendment, dudes" and US courts won't enforce the UK sanctions.
