Measuring One's Carbon FootprintAccording to Greta Thunberg's new book, The Climate Book, "to stay in line with international climate targets we need to get our individual per capita emissions down to somewhere around 1 ton of carbon dioxide per year." So how do we measure how much carbon dioxide we're emitting right now?The EPA has developed a handy website to not only estimate one's current Carbon Footprint but to find ways to reduce it.I calculated our household's annual footprint at 6 tons per person - so we have a way to go, but by learning more about it and changing some of our behaviors I'm confident we can make improvements.Check it out. Here's the link:https://www3.epa.gov/carbon-footprint-calculator/

@kentnelson When concrete, steel, transport, the military all generate the bulk of emissions, fretting over personal foot print is only a guilt trip of industry to divert us from their hand in emissions

@kentnelson We all need to do our individual parts for climate change, but even then that means nothing if nothing is done to curb emissions from the corporate, industrial and agricultural world.
