       One day developers are going to realize Scrum & co are just tools to allow non-technical managers and PMs to control engineering teams. Removal of all autonomy coupled with infantilizing rituals work wonder to keep employees in line.

       @galdor I never encountered any corporation hierarchy where Scrum was applied to higher management levels. The usual setting is when it's Waterfall on the top and Agile/Scrum etc on the bottom. Interesting to see when these incompatible practices clash.Management still wants to set rigid deadlines and impose roadmaps, and hard to change its practices.

       @dekkzz76 I thought so, but everytime there is a discussion about Scrum on HN, most of the comments are arguing to death about how it is the best thing ever and if you do not have a process nothing can work.Same thing in several companies I worked for.As it turns out, many developers like pre-digested tasks without autonomy or responsability.
