       @vbuterinMaybe this is unfair because I'm not familiar with waitbutwhy but this graphic makes me suspicious. I feel like it's a pretty reasonable assertion in the 21st century to say that not all ideas are worth entertaining or tolerating, e.g., fascists advocating for extermination and violence (using coded language or no) against members of our community. "Idea supremacy" would be a rather bad-faith label to apply to folks working to disrupt spaces clearly in violation of the humanist social contract. Popper's Paradox of Tolerance, and all that.

       @vbuterin So, basically, you are arguing that instead of considering two dim1 vector spaces, we should consider their span, that is, the whole plane.  I agree and I find it very geometrically disturbing that things are arranged like axes but then only points directly on the axes are considered, lol.

       @vbuterin There's a lot of "what groups I belong to, my culture, my aspirations" that isn't reflected here.But are you talking about where an audience member tries to bond with the speaker and latch onto a new wowza direction, some kind of mutual discovery in the middle of a throng? (I've seen this attempted, not sure how often it succeeds, and usually requires some 3rd party vouching or status/external validation).
