I know I am a person who complains a lot but I'm so sick of many companies calling me to work with them and when I say my salary they say "It's too much and we cannot offer the same but we can offer you a "bit less" and other benefits". I know everything shouldn't be money but many companies don't know all the knowledge I have and all the effort I've had to get that knowledge and I still believe my salary is not enough because I believe technical jobs positions are so underated.

@iron_bug Compared to other professional careers IT is quite well paid but I didn't mean that. I complain because It's like I reached the limit of money I can earn as a tech person and if I want to get more I had to become a boss or directive. But in many countries I've seen the lack of IT people and a tech guy with three bosses. It's like a inverse pyramid.

I can't say so. as I grew up and got more and more experienced as a developer, my wage grew up with every new position I got. I'm a senior C/C++ developer for Linux, work remotely and my wage is 10 times more than average in this city.

and I could make more, but I pick only interesting and fair job. there're many offers with more salary but I'm not interested either from political or from ideological considerations. I like my job and I enjoy programming. I can write nearly everything, but no money can make me do dull or unfair job. I don't work for fascist government of this country and/or any of its projects. I don't work for cons like casino, for spying on users data on the net, etc. I work on projects that contribute to people's comfort and safety, to tech and civilization progress.

@iron_bug I'm not interested only in money either. I prefer to have a good quality of life too. It's good and I quite envy you can choose your job. I'm not in a bad position but I want to be better.
