I have mentioned this before, but they came up with snap in a week after they were asked if they wanted to collaborate on flatpak. they are doing nothing but trying to sabotage cross-platform packaging with this. no one wants this

       @Lyude Interesting. I used to use Ubuntu as my main OS until relatively recently. Maybe I should stick with Kali Linux going forward...

       @ML2 I work for red hat but honestly try fedora. I tried it out when I joined and honestly I wouldn't stop using it if I left, it is all the good parts of Ubuntu but we maintain packages actually and don't break things every single upgrade.

       @Lyude I'll try Fedora for the new PC build I'm planning to do.I'm studying cybersecurity and Kali is very useful for that on my laptop, but trying Fedora (and other flavors) on a beast I put together myself might well be worthwhile.
