@dnkl short q. Hyprland and trying fnott. Starting from within WM works. Autostart doesn’t. I tried in hyprland.conf “exec-once=fnott”. And in my startup.sh “fnott &.” Both give: GDBus error : recipient disconnected from message bus without replying. So app fnott isn’t starting. I use the .config/user file. Should I use the -c flag in the startup? Or try something else?

@Qper check fnott's log output. Unless you use --log-no-syslog, fnott will log to the syslog.

@dnkl sorry to late respond. Apparently Dunst was running….somewhere. Removed it and now it works. All I have now is a desire for rounded borders as an option 😁. My Qtile is square, my Hyprland is rounded. Would love to adjust fnott accordingly. Loving foot for a while now, fuzzel works like a charm and now fnott. I got the whole trilogy and love it.

@Qper good to hear!Rounded corners is annoyingly difficult to do "manually", and pulling in Cairo as a dependency "just" for rounded corners is likely not going to happen, I'm afraid.

@dnkl fair enough. I rather have a fast and lightweight daemon than round corners. So I can live with this 😀
