The opening paragraph shows some delusion on the part of the leakers: The idea in the opening seems to be that poor innocent Trump might get pulled into trouble by his errant lawyer, so he'd better distance himself ⤵️ Then we find out actually the idea is for Corcoran to be a patsy or fall guy. The name Mark Meadows as a possible fall guy is also interesting because a question has been whether Meadows has been cooperating. 4/

John Eastman was also named as a possible fall guy or patsy, which shows what kind of backstabbers we're dealing with: Eastman (it seems) has gone to great lengths to protect Trump.I can see a fall guy working with financial crimes, but not with this, given the fact that Trump has been confessing all over social media that he intended to take and keep secret documents.5/

@Teri_Kanefield How the hell can Evan Corcoran invoke executive privilege when, as far as I recall, he never served in the former guy's administration in any capacity? Sure, he *almost* did in 2020 via Tim Shea, but again, I don't think that ever happened either. He later became one of TFG's lawyers in April 2022.And the whole stolen classified docs thing is a post-presidency crime anyway. So where does Corcoran have *any* grounds for an EP claim?

@thanosthemagadestroyer @Teri_Kanefield A state bar will yank your license in a heartbeat if you are convicted of a crime. But absent that, they are focused on protecting the public from bad lawyering and abuse of the legal system. Some of Trump's lawyers did some awful things, but mostly for the benefit of their client.

When behavior is egregious enough, the Bar will act.

@Teri_Kanefield Lawyers make the best fall guys for trump. He doesn’t have to pay them because he can argue they ‘got him into’ trouble, and with them fighting for their own life, and paying other lawyers, they don’t have time to go after him. Used, abused, refused.
