So... for people who administer large web properties: how do you handle one-time/infrequent tasks with automation? Things like getting/renewing an SSL script? Do you do them manually as needed and copy the certs & keys around with automation?

@dneary While not for certs, yes, last such position we used Ansible for such tasks. Typically a new script that had been first been tested locally was copied over to QA, followed by one and then several cloud locations/providers.
