The hardest part of the Paleo Diet is hunting the Brontosaur and getting it home.

@GayDeceiver Not to mention cutting down a tree to make a spit so the big guy could be roasted whole. And the firewood needed--beginning of clearcutting and deforestation. This is also when the laws of unintended consequences were drafted. The only way the old paleo folks had time for all this was cause they lacked social media.

@GayDeceiver Try the babies - they’re easier to catch (and cook).

@edgeoforever @GayDeceiver Mastodon are easier. You can still find them pre-frozen. Just dig it out of the permafrost and chuck it straight in the freezer.

@jbond @edgeoforever @GayDeceiver Oh, Mastodon is great in the sous vide. You can cook it straight from frozen. Chainsaw out a portion, vacuum seal it (a clean shopvac and heavy duty zipper bag should work), and dunk it in a hot tub maintained at 130F for about a month. It's nice and tender!
