       the shit the Spanish do to non-Spanish food is shocking. definitely a thing I miss about DC is the quality of the non-European food.

       there is some pretty good Syrian food, and Italian is OK as well. we’ve completely struck out on Japanese and Korean. had some Indian food that was ok. part of the problem is now I don’t trust anyone on Reddit or Google when they say a restaurant is good.

       I had a lot of problems with /r/washingtondc, but by gawd when those folks recommended restaurants they knew what they were talking about.

       @peter I base all my trips to the dc exurbs on food recs from Reddit. I haven’t gone wrong yet.
