       @esoterica I think you're misunderstanding some of the reasons why people use it. It's not a matter of if I can commit myself to not being on Twitter as I already have deleted my account and am here full-time. For me, it's about still getting notifications on things that matter to me that won't be moving over to Mastodon any time soon. Stuff like bus and metro outages, weather alerts from the weather service, electrical outages.

       @jayNow that Titter has pulled up the API drawbridge, that will put an end to our interoperability hacks (crossposters, Titter puppets etc). Without regulatory action to defend Titter useds' freedom to choose which services and apps to use (notably absent so far), people are going to have a hard choice to make. Contribute to Titter's network effect and help them entrench their dominance, or miss out on the stuff that's only available there.@esoterica
