       There are people pointing to .lol shutting down as proof you can’t trust Mastodon but there are many reasons an instance might sunset besides… that. At least fair warning was given. There have been worse situations in the past. I have furry friends who refuse to come here due to a certain instance that had the plug pulled overnight, and nothing I can say about the admin will change their minds.Tip your server admin folks. It could always be worse.
