       @w7voa "I may never tweet again."Over and over this situation with journalists on Twitter reminds me of abusive husbands, their wives. "I can make him better if I just keep trying."Nope. Not gonna happen. Getting smacked even once is all the information needed for a crisp decision. Divorce is the best option. Sad, sure, but don't stay in the abuse cycle. There's nothing on Twitter worth being degraded and humiliated.

       @Doug_Bostrom Unfortunately, Twitter remains the single best platform for newsworthy information from officials at all levels, as well as key governments and non-government entities around the world. That’s why journalists and others stay there. Until there is a significant migration to other platforms that won’t change. I know a paradox.

       @w7voa @Doug_Bostromthere has to be a movement by journalists. they have to switch together. but journalists are kinda programmed not to be activists. how do we overcome this?

       @wjmaggos @Doug_Bostrom There likely wouldn't be a mass migration of journalists unless Musk were to suspend the accounts of a large number of prominent journalists (only nine of us targeted in the mid-December purge). Also, if significant newsmakers and other public figures were to stop tweeting and set up shop on another platform then the journalists would also follow.
